"Meet Mindsetters"

Brenda Mpungose (Call Centre Coordinator)

1. What do you do (and for how long) at Mindset?

I was employed by Mindset Network on the 15th October 2007 as a Call Centre Coordinator in the Technical / Access Department.

My work entails working very closely with Mindset sites; hospitals, clinics and schools across the country and maintain relationship. So I’m very much the “face” of Mindset. Among others; I assist sites with all our systems queries ranging from troubleshooting and diagnoses of faulty systems through telephone, make follow ups with our service providers in ensuring that the reported queries are attend to, ensure that sites are working properly, update sites details and contacts with the information I receive from our trainers/facilitators across channels, processing of departmental service providers invoices, managing the technical/access department budgets, writing of requested technical/access call centre reports, etc. Know you all know my job description!!

2. What do you like about Mindset Network?:

I like friendly and accommodative staff members and opportunities for individual growth. The organization is welcoming and one feels more and more at home by day. When times of need arise, the organization and team members are there to offer as much support as possible.

3. Your future plans and wishes?

I will soon be doing my Computer lessons, A+ Preparation course which will enable me to assist greatly in the organization in terms of technical issues both internally and externally. In completion of this course I will be pursuing the Project Management course as I see myself being the Technical/Access department Project manager. If the organization advocates equal growth opportunities and support, anything is possible. I wish Mindset can deliver in its promise of offering quality educational content to the underprovided.

4. Your life outside work?

I enjoy outdoor life as my work is always in the office.

5. Things that we may not know about you?

I have 2 handsome boys whom I spend most of my time with – where possible. If they are not around I hang out with friends as I define myself as a party animal. Sometimes I can be a potato couch in front of a TV as I also respect my ME time. With my studies on the way I hope my friends won’t miss me that much as I will spend more time with books than friends. Otherwise, people know my personality, a determined, hardworking, presentable, positive, smiling and outspoken person who respects other people…
