Mindset Network`s Outreach Programme
Our Outreach programme was created to assist health care providers, health promoters and peer educators in developing the knowledge, skills and materials to institute behavioral change communication programmes in their own clinics and facilities. Our objective is to train facilitators to be mindful of a wide range of intervention strategies related to dealing with HIV/AIDS and other health issues.
Through forming partnerships with existing community organizations and institutions that provide health education and/or training we are able to reach a much larger community. Our partners are taken through a two day course on facilitation and are given a Mindset Outreach facilitation manual including DVD’s featuring short video messages on topics like treatment literacy, Gender and other health related issues.
Partners are provided with a portable Muzeo (a DVD player and project with built in speakers), allowing them to show video content in their communities and clinics. Since the inception of the Outreach programme we have formed an extensive network of partner’s who have responded positively to this project.
